China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest carbon steel maker in Taiwan is going to release its price policy for steel wires and bars for March.
Industry sources expected that CSC would hike its prices for steel wires and bars for March since the downstream screw makers’ received order volumes from overseas market have been improved and the prices of steel wires and bars have increased in China.
CSC cut its list prices for steel wires and bars for consecutive three times in the second half 2012 and the total price cut reached NT$4,400/ton.
The company remained the list prices for steel wires and bars unchanged at NT$22,400/ton for January and February. The actual selling prices are at NT$21,200~NT$21,800/ton.
