Turkey's exports of wire rods totaled 73,588 tons in April, decreasing by 26.6% from a month ago and decreasing by 22.3% year on year, according to data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the export prices of wire rods averaged at US$621/ton in April, lower than US$658/ton in comparison of the prices in the same period of the previous year. In April, Libya was the largest importer of Turkish wire rods with 16,021 tons; Israel was the second largest one with 11,657 tons. In the first four months of this year, Turkey's wire rod exports amounted to 370,379 tons, lower than 391,442 tons in the same period of a year ago.
